Our Story

Isaac Fotu – Owner and Professional Basketball Player

In August 2024, professional basketball player Isaac Fotu became the proud new owner of The Swish Factory. With a deep passion for the game and a strong desire to give back to the community, Isaac is committed to creating opportunities for aspiring athletes to grow and train alongside professionals and like-minded individuals.

Raised on Auckland’s North Shore, Isaac understands the importance of access to high-level development for young athletes. As the eldest of four siblings—all of whom have pursued basketball—he has long been a role model both on and off the court.

Isaac left New Zealand in 2013 to attend the University of Hawai‘i on a basketball scholarship. Shortly after, he began his professional career at the age of 21. Since then, he has played in some of the world’s top basketball leagues, including Spain, Germany, Italy, and Japan.

A proud member of the New Zealand Tall Blacks since the age of 17, Isaac has represented his country in three FIBA World Cups. In addition to his achievements in the traditional 5-on-5 game, Isaac also represented New Zealand in the 2011 FIBA 3x3 World Cup, where the team was crowned World Champions.

His international career includes two championship titles in Japan, earned in the 2021–2022 and 2024–2025 seasons.

Isaac brings his global experience and community-focused vision to The Swish Factory, with the goal of inspiring and developing the next generation of athletes.
